Charming experience with pet-friendly accommodations

The Big Texan Motel offered a delightful old-west vibe with modern touches. Our room was cozy and well-decorated, perfect for our stay in Texas. The welcoming staff graciously waived the pet fee, making it a fantastic choice for travelers with furry companions.

Location - favourable, right by the steakhouse, restaurants and shops, shops. Plenty of goodies for breakfast.

The location was awesome, the staff was kind. Overall it was nice, with a private bathroom.

This motel embodies old Texas charm at an unbeatable price. Iconic, nestled on Route 66, it delivers a unique experience. Easy keyless entry and great cable options impressed my family. The swimming pool—a quirky Texas shape—was cold, and only one towel remained at 4 PM. The decor reflects a charming Western theme. I encountered a few hiccups. Dirty linens and missing phones in rooms need attention. Maintenance issues, like stained carpets and noisy air conditioning, detract from the overall appeal. Still, it's a decent value worth considering—just remember to manage your expectations.

Great and absolutely perfect location next door to the Texan steakhouse, nice pool. Also - near to the restaurant parking in the spots for the people staying in the motel, the center of the parking lot, and the steak house was amazing.

Stayed for 1 night and was impressed by this low-budget hotel. There were a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the room, liked that. The bed was very comfy and I had a private bathroom. The location was marvellous and comfy - near restaurants, California, the establishment.

Nothing to dislike.

Loved the kitschy vibe and spacious room with a fun decor! The steakhouse next door is delish! Just beware of the sheets—saw more hair than at a dog grooming salon! Yikes! a memorable stay.

Couples love this place!

We stayed for 2 nights in the Deluxe King Studio and the room was huge and comfy. It was super easy to just walk over to eat after a long road trip, plus the whole Big Texan vibe is something you can't miss.

It wasn’t the most affordable option, but honestly, it’s worth it.

Just a stone’s throw away was a steakhouse that served the best steak we’ve had in ages. The clean, comfy beds ensured a good night’s sleep, and I loved the self-check-in process—it felt modern and hassle-free. the staff’s hospitality skills could use some serious refinement; there were moments when I felt more like a bother than a guest. A bug sighting in my room was unsettling, although they offered a refund swiftly. I’d love to return, but I hope for a smoother experience next time.

Fun cowboy theme, great food, but thin walls made for noisy nights.

The room was recently updated with a cute western theme. Spacious layout with a separate area including a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The king bed was comfortable, but amusingly squeaky—worth mentioning. I appreciated the keypad entry system for a hassle-free experience. The heat lamp in the bathroom was a delightful touch. On the downside, the ice machine was broken, which was inconvenient, and parking was limited due to restaurant guests. Housekeeping surprisingly provided fresh towels for our two-night stay, which was unexpected. The atmosphere felt safe and laid back, perfect after a long day on the road.

The big fluffy dog-friendly policy was a huge plus for me, as I was able to bring my furry companion along without any extra charges. The breakfast at the motel was delicious, and I appreciated the variety of options available. The room amenities like the fridge, K-cup coffee maker, and real glasses and cups were a nice touch. The property had a fun and welcoming atmosphere, and I particularly enjoyed seeing the horses boarded out back. there were a few areas that could use improvement. The road noise from the nearby freeway was a bit bothersome, and the walls were thin enough to hear noises from neighboring guests. The shower in my room had issues with hot water, and I also noticed some cleanliness issues in the bathroom with hair and pubes from a previous guest.

I had a blast at the Cowboy-themed motel. Loved the quirky decorations and the steakhouse next door. The indoor pool was a nice touch too. The staff were very friendly and offered valuable tips on the area.

Missing the spa, had to settle for just a shower.
